Happy New Year!

The end of one year and the start of another is a great time to get in touch with what you really want. I’m sure most of you are making New Year’s Resolutions to develop a new skill, habit, or way of daily living.

You probably also hear a lot about “manifesting” as a way to help bring those resolutions to fruition. Whenever I lecture on the how to’s of manifesting, there seems to be a lot of confusion about how to actually do it. I believe that manifesting is simply exercising your ability to harness the power of your intention.

To create the life of your dreams, you need to feel the feelings of already having what you desire.

First, start with visualization.

In order to create what you want in your life, you have to be able to imagine it. For example, visualize yourself in a relationship. Visualize yourself as a non-smoker. Whatever it is, what would your life look like once this new “thing” is there? Don’t focus on what you don’t want. Keep your language and the affirmations positive and focused on what you DO want. (For example, instead of affirming “I am out of debt,” say “I am financially free.”)

To help you get clear on what you want more of in your life, take a Fearless Inventory or, with the approach of the New Year, do my three-list exercise for what you’re leaving in 2012 and what’s coming with you into 2013.

But imagination is not one-dimensional. Once you have the visual, add the sensory element.

Take a few minutes after your daily meditation or before your go to sleep to look at your desire list or vision board. Then, take a deep breath and gently close your eyes, holding the visual in your mind. Next, using all if your senses, conjure the feelings of actually experiencing what you desire. If you desire a partner, feel what it feels like to hold hands with a beloved. If you long to be smoke free, feel what it feels like to tell people you are now a non-smoker.

Simply put, you must:

Know it.
See it.
Feel it.
And Believe it,
To Bring it.

That’s it!

I would love to hear your thoughts about manifesting and what your intentions are for 2013, so please share!

Love Love Love

Terri

  1. Mindfulness about life and experiences can be proved very beneficial at an individual level as it can provide us with a better perspective of past and current experiences. We just need to pause every now and then and make sure to think about what’s going on around us and how we can further improve it, if needed. A healthy nutrition and lifestyle will also help you with this. John

  2. Hi Terri , My second comment in a few minutes , just wanted to say that the idea of what you think, is how you feel, is how you act , is a very powerfull one .Perhaps this is why positive manifestation of destiny does actually work .Peace and staying positive

  3. Love this Terri.. i have been meditating for 10 years, but never really formally incorporated manifesting within my meditation. I’m going to start this tomorrow.. xo

  4. Terri, loved this message. FEEL it. How often we are in too much of a hurry to stop and feel! LOVE your videos and looking forward to a happier, healthier 2013 along with you and your videos!

  5. Love this message! I’m working on this concept now along with the process of giving which will rebound in receiving. I’m in a healing journey to reverse my Multiple Sclerosis (changed diet) and am learning to heal my spirit as well in order to have the life I’ve wanted. Thank you for your inspiration. Happy New Year to you and your family!!

  6. I absolutely love your work, Terri! I use a lot of it in my work with clients in a substance abuse outpatient clinic. My clients really enjoyed working on learning how to manifest their dreams for 2013!
