Status: Independent Contractor (1099): 20-25 hours per week

We are hiring a Social Media Micro Content Curator/Creator.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating engaging content from written content and videos including:
- Visuals like photos, images, and illustrations;
- Short blurbs of text;
- Infographics
- Video clips
- Short lists
- Carousels
- Gifs
We want you to bring your own genius to help us nurture and grow all of our social media platforms so we can create a more powerful positive impact in the world.
We’re looking for someone who can generally be available on weekdays between 9am-1pm or 1–5 pm EST. There is flexibility, as long as work is getting done, meetings are attended, and deadlines are being met.
You will be working closely with the Director of Operations, Director of Marketing, and Terri to deliver stellar content and messaging to our community.
This is a remote work environment. Most work is conducted via slack, email, video conference, and in a project management system so having high-speed internet is a must.
We understand you’ll probably have other commitments but we’re also looking for someone who can give this position attention in a timely manner. Our boundaries and expectations will always be transparent and clearly communicated.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Create engaging content from our existing media such as blogs and videos to be used across our social channels, including
- Instagram (feed, stories and reels),
- Facebook (business page, and our FB group),
- Pinterest,
- Twitter.
- Youtube
- Video edits such as trimming, captioning and adding calls to action.
- Posting and scheduling content.
- Staying up-to-date with social media marketing strategies and how we can use them to add value to our audience especially in the mental health/self-help/personal empowerment space.
- Engaging with our community via comments and DM’s
Required
- Experience with creating digital content for social media across most or all channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
- You’re creative, design-focused, and will stay on-brand.
- You’re an effective communicator, especially in writing.
- Strong work ethic and standards. Details matter to you. Results matter to you.
- Available to work during “normal business hours” (a few hours each day between 9 am to 5 pm Eastern time) regardless of the time zone you live in.
- You have experience being on a remote team.
- You’re extremely organized, delight in the details, and don’t let little things slip through the cracks.
