I want you to honestly ask yourself how plagued you are by envy and jealousy. Envy and jealousy are negative, constrictive feelings, but we can use them as a tool to create positive expansion in our individual lives.
To turn the pain of jealousy into the purpose of creating a reality more in line with your dreams, here’s an exercise from my friend and group-coaching partner Ashley Turner.
1. Write down two people you are Jealous/Envious of.
If you can’t think of anyone or are unsure if your feelings toward someone are jealousy or something else, think about whom you gossip and are most critical. Most likely, this is whom you are jealous of.
2. Write the qualities and/or life situations they have that you would like. How did they get to where they are?
3. Write what you need to do (actionable steps you can take) to achieve the same.
The act of writing this information provides you with a visual roadmap of what you need to do to get what you want. Having a sheet of paper gives you something to see and touch on a regular basis, to remind you to keep yourself on track and accountable.
The last thing I want you to do is bless these people and send them all of your love for teaching you something about yourself and giving you tools to help shape the life you want and CAN have.
